There are six million bus journeys made every day in London. Or to look at it differently, six million periods of boredom waiting for the bus.

BusDipity is an app for any Londoner who is bored at the bus stop. The app locates you, prompts you to select the bus you're waiting for, then provides a random video from YouTube with a length matching the exact amount of time until your bus arrives.

The BusDipity brand leans into the strength of YouTube and TfL's use of red. A contrasting and emotively positive turquoise is used for CTAs. Plus a strong, rich, earthy shade for text, times and iconography.

I utilised the phones geolocation, passed that to the TfL API to lookup all things bus related. Then generated a random keyword, and plugged into the YouTube API to retrieve a video of the perfect length. This refreshed every 30 seconds because we know buses aren't the most reliable at sticking to their timetable.
